Courses at Ski Club of Ireland
Perfect for first-time riders, this Beginner 4-lesson series is the ideal way to begin snowboarding in a supportive group setting.
What you’ll learn:

Intro to turns and slope safety

Using the travellator lift
Lessons start on our beginner-friendly Snowflex slopes with Travellator lifts, creating a gentle, low-pressure environment to build confidence. By the end of the course, most participants can ride with control and prepare to progress to the intermediate slope.
Classes run Monday, Tuesday & Thursday evenings (20:00) and Sunday evenings (18:30).
All equipment provided at no extra cost.
If you’ve completed the beginner course or have some experience of lessons from a holiday you are ready for the next step. Our improver classes are designed to take your technique further.

Sessions are led by instructors who tailor each class to the needs of the group.
These courses are ideal for riders preparing for a snow holiday or looking to feel more confident navigating a full mountain environment.
Short on time? The Half-Day Course offers a focused, fast-paced introduction to snowboarding in a single session. It’s a great option if:

Your schedule doesn’t allow weekly classes
In just a few hours, our instructors will walk you through the fundamentals: stance, balance, stopping, and turning. Suitable for beginners looking for a half-day option.
Held at select times during the season. Booking in advance is essential.
Once you’ve completed at least four lessons or have equivalent snowboarding experience you may be eligible to join our open practice sessions.
Practice is available:

On Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings (19:30 – 21:30) and Sunday evenings (18:00 – 20:30)

During other designated practice slots throughout the season
To attend, you must:

Be able to turn, stop, and control speed

Use the button lift independently

Have completed a minimum number of 4 classes or one week on snow with lessons
Practice sessions are a great way to keep progressing between classes or just enjoy riding in a relaxed, self-guided setting.
To ensure safety and the best experience for all participants, please note the following:

- Minimum Height: 1.4 meters
- Minimum Shoe Size: UK Size 3
