What to Expect on Your First Visit
At the Ski Club of Ireland, we aim to make your first visit seamless, enjoyable, and memorable. From the moment you arrive to the time you leave, our friendly and experienced team will ensure you feel supported and ready to embrace the slopes.
Arrival and Check-In
Your experience begins with a warm welcome at our reception area. We recommend arriving at least 30 – 40 minutes before your scheduled lesson to allow plenty of time for check-in and preparation. At check-in, our staff will confirm your booking, answer any last-minute questions, and guide you through the next steps.
Getting Fitted for Equipment
After check-in, you will head to our equipment area, where our team will help you get fitted with the right gear. We provide everything you need, including skis, snowboards, boots, and helmets, but you are welcome to bring your own if preferred. Our staff will ensure your equipment fits comfortably and securely, setting you up for a safe and enjoyable session.
Meeting Your Instructor or Group
Once equipped, you will meet your instructor or be introduced to your group if you are joining a group lesson. Your instructor will provide a brief overview of what to expect during the session and ensure everyone is comfortable and ready to begin.
Your First Lesson
Your lesson starts on our Snowflex slopes, designed to provide a smooth and forgiving surface for beginners. You will begin with the basics, including how to balance, stop, and control your speed. As you progress, you will learn foundational skills such as turning and using the Travellator lifts. The pace is tailored to your comfort level, and your instructor will provide guidance and encouragement every step of the way.
